Privacy policy
Tire PSI (and its Arabic edition, ضغط الإطار) ("the app") finds the recommended tire pressure for your car. This document states exactly which data the app collects, why, and where it goes.
No account, no personal identification
There is no sign-up, login, username, email or password. On first install a random anonymous identifier is created and stored on the device; it links requests to the server. No name, email, phone number or precise location is collected.
The sticker photo: sent, not stored
When you photograph the tire pressure sticker, the image is sent to the app server (Cloudflare) and from there to an AI reading service (Anthropic Claude, and when the reading is uncertain also Google Gemini) to read the numbers. The image is not stored on our servers: it is processed inside the request and discarded. A small crop of the sticker is kept on your device only, next to the saved car, so you can see where the number came from.
The shared list
After a successful scan you can attach the result to a car model (make, model, year, tire size). Those details and the numbers read are stored in a shared list that helps other drivers with the same model. The list contains no device identifier, name or any personal detail, only the model, the numbers and a count of how many scans confirmed them.
Saved cars
"My cars" are stored on the device only. Deleting the app deletes them.
Usage data
To learn which parts of the app help and which confuse, the app records basic usage events: app opened, scan succeeded or failed, car saved, unit changed. Labels only, never content. Events go to the app's own server only, tied to the same anonymous identifier, and are not shared with third parties. The server also records the country a request came from (country level only, no IP address, no coordinates).
Advertising
The app is free and funded by one banner served through Google AdMob. Ads are served without personalization: the app does not request tracking permission and does not use the advertising identifier for profiling. Google may collect basic usage data under the Google privacy policy.
Notifications
The monthly reminder is a local notification on the device, off by default, enabled only from the app settings.
Retention and deletion
- Photos: never stored on the server (zero days).
- Usage events and scan records (without the image): kept for statistics, tied to an anonymous identifier only.
- Deleting the app removes the identifier from the device, after which the records cannot be linked to anyone.
Disclaimer
The numbers the app shows are read from the sticker in your car or from a list built from other drivers' scans; in some cases they are an AI estimate and are labelled as such. The sticker in your car is the authoritative number. When in doubt, check the sticker or the owner's manual.
